I’m kinda busting at the seams to tell you how I’ve been doing in my business, how I’ve been breaking some ‘marketing rules’ and how that could help you make serious money, in a way you’ll love.
You see, you might have read my last post about, when working less is best? If you haven’t you should go read that first. If you have, you know I cut my work right back last year and focused pretty much on working only with higher end clients. This meant no blogging, pretty much no newsletters, very few social media posts and no collaboration, such as webinars and stuff. I’ve been pretty much missing-in-action for over 6 months.
And I LOVED it. It was breaking all the marketing rules, it gave me back more time to spend with family AND I was getting paid more than before and working with clients who were more committed.
And then a REALLY COOL THING happened. I started being told again and again, by one of my clients – that I was UNDER-charging. I was like, ‘huh’? … “how can she think I’m under-charging, when I’m charging more than I’ve ever charged before”?
REVELATION NUMBER ONE:
Simply put – the more I charged, the better I coached. Somewhere inside of you, you KNOW that you’d do your best work too, when you get the guts to ask for the prices you really want to work for. And I totally want that for you … even if you don’t quite feel ready.
And now, I don’t feel like I have to hustle to get hundreds of clients. I don’t stress about ALOT of things other mentors and coaches do. I don’t need to try and get a ton of clients each month. I just need two or three. But let’s roll a few numbers for you to make this really clear.
Last year, I offered access to a program at $50. Let’s say, you wanted to make $100,000 for the year charging that price. That would mean trying to find 2000 clients (which you might think is easier when you charge low prices, but it’s not). Or let’s say, you up your game and charge $495 for people to work with you. That would mean, you’d need to find 202 clients.
Now, to work with me, it’s anywhere between $4000 to $12,000… and rising, each time I commit to offering more value. (Yeah, put your eye-balls back in their sockets, lol). That’s anywhere from 8 – 25 clients per year at most, if $100,000 were my goal too.
So, what has this meant for me? Well my income took a MASSIVE jump. In fact, recently I had my best week ever, and made over $20,000 in 4 days. That was soooo massive for me and helped me to get my next insight.
REVELATION NUMBER TWO:
If you’re prepared to commit to offering ONLY a top quality coaching or mentoring experience to your potential clients – it’s actually easier to sell high-end coaching packages than it is to sell cheap stuff. People haggle over cheap. They won’t haggle over your high-end coaching, especially if they want quality and an awesome experience (which you need to give), that gives them faster results.
